Best Lipsticks for Summer

Bite Beauty makes absolutely incredible lipsticks! All of their lipsticks are highly pigmented and feel amazingly moisturizing on your lips, thanks to an infusion of antioxidants. This product in particular is awesome because it is dual sided with two gorgeous colors, a bright Tangerine and a dramatic berry shade called Lingonberry. If you want a neutral alternative, this lipstick duo also comes in the shades Fig and Date. These shades are more understated, but they are gorgeous and perfect for summer nights when you are working a hot smoky eye look! We should mention that this product comes in travel-size, so the lipsticks do seem a bit on the small side. However, they are so pigmented that you do not need to use much to achieve full coverage. When you apply this lipstick, make sure that you don’t push the product too hard against your lips because the stick is on the thin side and not as sturdy as normal lipsticks.

All of the Nars Audacious Lipsticks are stunningly gorgeous, but the shade “Grace,” a bright pink coral, is absolutely captivating. This color is beautiful and unique and is sure to make a statement. The Buxom Full-On lipsticks feel like more than just a lipstick. In fact, they do everything that a lip liner, moisturizing balm, and lipstick do, but in just one product! These lipsticks are available in a number of shades, but our favorite for summer is Las Vegas! This gorgeous pink is not too bright, but it is vibrant enough to brighten up your whole face. This is a great shade for girls who want to wear a pretty, summery color, but don’t want to make a dramatic statement. In addition to the gorgeous color payoff of these lipsticks, all of the Buxom Full-On Lipsticks are infused with Vitamins A, C, and E to keep your lips gorgeously hydrated! Not only will your lips feel healthier, but this product also tingles and subtly plumps your lips!

Generally speaking, matte finish lipsticks are usually more fitting for winter and fall styles since summer is all about being shiny and hydrated, however we can make an exception for this matte finish lipstick. We seriously cannot say enough great things about the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks, especially in the Carina shade! This is the first lipstick we have ever come across that actually stays put all day! Unless you’re eating something super greasy, this lipstick seriously does not move! There is nothing more embarrassing than getting lipstick on your teeth or smeared on your face, especially when you’re wearing a bright color that you had been excited about. These lipsticks by Stila solve all that, and they have a great color selection to boot! We love the Carina shade because it is a unique shade of coral which looks exquisitely festive and feminine!

The Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint line is fantastic for summer because these products deposit a sheer healthy tint while infusing your lips with refreshing moisture and peppermint! There are a lot of gorgeous shades in this line, but our favorite is Enchanted, a stunning rose shade. This shade is like your natural lips, but better! This is a fantastic color if you want to wear a “no makeup” makeup look because it does look natural, but it also adds a little bit of subtle glamour that is perfect for any occasion!

This is definitely a splurge item, retailing at $35 a pop. However, it is SO worth it and absolutely a one of a kind product. Known as one of the best long lasting lipsticks, this lipstick has an incredibly unique formula in that it feels like a lip gloss (though it is not sticky at all!), delivers high pigment like a lipstick, and also leaves a gorgeous tint on your lips after it has worn off just like a lip stain. Though every shade is crazy gorgeous, Pandore is our favorite shade for summer. Pandore is a gorgeous bright pinky red that makes an incredibly glamorous and stylish statement. The applicator is perfectly designed so that you fully cover your lips with just one swipe so you never waste any product. Yes, it is definitely expensive, but you need to try this lipstick out!

Technically, this product is a tinted lip balm, but the color payoff is impressive enough to qualify it as a lipstick for the purposes of this list. The fresh sugar lip treatments have a cult following (we are definitely part of the craze!) and each time they release a new color we get a little bit too excited. Their latest release, the Nude Tinted shade, is so amazing and the perfect neutral lip staple for summer. Probably the best nude lipstick in the market. Lest you think neutral equals boring, this lip product has a gorgeous peachy shimmer so you can be sure you will make a gorgeously understated impression with your lips. In addition to the absolutely beautiful color payoff, the product feels glorious on your lips. The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments actually contain sugar (so they are sweet if you accidentally taste them), which works to moisturize your lips in conjunction with nourishing oils. This product is a must-have for summer, and all year long!
